Monday 30th of January saw the judging of our competition number 4 by Colin Westgate MPAGB FRPS MFIAP from Colchester. Colin had virtual presence and displayed the images from his own computer via screen share.
Most of our members, despite the rather wet evening, turned up at the meeting hall, with about 6 joining via zoom. We used the clubs projector which produced a better rendition of the images than the halls projector, and there were no technical hitches.
Colin, in his assessment of the images, went further than just commenting. He had made adjustments to many of the images that would, in his option, improve them. These he showed after displaying each original image and giving his critique, which I think the members appreciated. Colin's critiques were positive and encouraging, and his timing was excellent, the meeting finished on time.
Overall, a well attended meeting, with an excellent judge, no hitches, and finished at the right time.
